My recent stay at this lovely old pub turned hotel in Essex was a delightful experience. the room was comfortable and well-equipped with all the amenities one could need, from a proper tea pot to a large dressing mirror. the staff were friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, even bringing a fan heater to my room when the heating was not operational. The hotel itself has been beautifully renovated and extended, with tastefully furnished en-suite bedrooms surrounding a sunny courtyard. the addition of a bar and lounge area made for a perfect spot to unwind in the evenings. the location is ideal for exploring the Essex countryside, with plenty of countryside and river walks nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Essex countryside. I look forward to returning in the future.
